Helical gears reduce the generated sound and vibration level due to smoother meshing and a more constant transmission of torque. A rear soft mount limits the amount of vibrations transmitted into the fuselage. We have tested these changes and also worked with some pilots to gather feedback. This feedback has been super-positive and we are confident that this allows to push the limits further.
Another smaller change we're rolling out is the addition of a spare steel shaft and a belt. The steel shaft is supposed to keep pilots airborne even if they happen to have an unexpected ground contact on a landing. A belt replacement seems needed roughly every 700-1500 flights.
While we've kept prices constant despite introducing different changes in the past we had to adjust pricing this time.
